Originating in 1981 and continuing in production up until 2002, the once legendary Isuzu Trooper was the go-to sport utility vehicle before that name existed. Along with the prestigious Range Rover it really started the SUV ball rolling and just look how far the car industry has come now. The Trooper formed the basis for similar vehicle from other brands but it ceased to move with modern times and is now a memory.

ABOUT ISUZU

Today, the award-winning Isuzu D-Max Arctic Pick-up Truck range is immensely popular and sought after in the European and UK market and is currently available to buy in various guises, but it is now commercial vehicles and efficient diesel engines that the brand is globally known for.

The company's history began in 1916, majoring in Shipbuilding and Engineering, with a subsequent forward plan to build cars. I very interesting aside to this is that in 1918 a technical cooperation with the uniquely British Wolseley Motors Limited was initiated, yielding exclusive rights to the production and sales of Wolseley vehicles in East Asia. This resulted in 1922 with the arrival of the first ever Japan-produced passenger car, the A9.

The popularity of Isuzu passenger vehicles declined, principally in the USA and by the turn of the new Century, the company largely withdrew into the commercial vehicle world where their expertise is highly regarded.

Diesel Technology

Isuzu's latest innovative diesel technologies involve a combination of downsized displacement and added turbo boost which has drastically optimized engine performance in terms of power, torque, fuel economy and weight. To achieve even better fuel savings and clean performance, Isuzu continues building on its technological advances such as electronic control, fuel efficiency and reduction of CO².

Why Here On MHH Japanese Cars?

Well, the world does not turn on passenger cars alone. It is the global commercial vehicle fleet that keeps our shops stocked and economies moving.

It's great, and very straightforward, to import a Japanese car from the vast stock featured but is equally important to know for the business community that MHH also offer the same service for Isuzu commercial vehicles. In many regions of the world the need for refrigerated vehicles is paramount; in city centres the panel van or the HGV delivers the goods we buy every day and in growing economies hard-working vehicles like tippers have their place. That's why there is a market for commercial vehicles around the world. This should be of interest to business and industry users. Why not get in touch?

Get in touch with us at MHH Japanese Cars and we'll be delighted to help you find your next car to import.
