Here at MHH Japanese Cars we know our customers like something different from time to time. With all the current global talk of SUV’s and Crossovers and cars that run on electricity we forget that there are some drivers who just like a good car; one that will make an impression.

Kerb Appeal

People who like to drive in comfort and with a decent amount of performance will perhaps look outside the box for something that drives well and looks good. That is where the premium car market comes in. Of course not all cars are available globally although some are, under different names, although the specifications may change depending upon region. The point is, they set the happy owner aside from the herds of mainstream motors that fill up our roads.

Here are three great cars available now from our stock that offer the keen motorist something a little different:

Honda Civic Type R

The Honda Civic Type R

Justly famous, having been through several iterations over the years, this is a car that delivers high performance thrills every time. The latest five-door Type R uses a turbocharger on the Honda VTEC engine system for the bottom of its rev range rather than the top; thus the car has been fully developed for power. Fans of the older car needn’t worry that the turbo will make a difference over the old naturally-aspirated motor; this model is faster, more hardcore and more visually arresting than anything Honda has produced previously. That big wing and the flat underside have a purpose and that purpose is downforce.

The great thing about this car though is that it seats four/five people of different sizes and has a good sized boot or trunk. Yes, the ride is certainly firm but the practical side of the car will suit the family driver who likes to make a statement.

Nissan Skyline 350GT

Here’s a car that over the years has been a collector’s dream. It has featured in various styles and models since way back in 1957. The current version is a smart compact executive car that carries the famous Skyline name. Some models have featured away from Japan carrying the Infiniti badge, which is Nissan’s prestige car brand.

The 350GT is interestingly a hybrid. Moving with the times to aid the lowering of emissions driving through an automatic gearbox Nissan have mated electric power with a 3500cc six-cylinder petrol engine. This car is a four-door saloon with a sleek coupé-style body. With a comfortable well-equipped interior this a vehicle that will appeal to the business community or long-distance driver.

2018 Toyota Mark X

Another vehicle that has been around for a while, being updated and revised along the way is Toyota’s fine Mark X. This great car is considered to be the sportiest saloon in the company’s Japanese range of models. This Mark X is equipped with a 3500cc petrol V6 engine that drives through an automatic gearbox.

This car has a loyal following of enthusiastic owners which speaks volumes. Depending upon the model selected the car could feature a radar system for the cruise control and a "pre-crash safety system" with auto brake activation. Other options include fully automatic self-parking, a driver's power 8-way adjustable seat plus electronically adjustable shock absorbers for comfort on mixed road surfaces. A great all-rounder.

Cars like the three mentioned carry an additional caché making them a cut above many mainstream motors. The choice is yours.
